Maria Miskovic, Care Advocate/Coordinator

Maria is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in virtually all care settings. Most recently, Maria served as Director of Social Services for a medical and behavioral hospital in St. Louis. Her case management experience while working in hospitals, home care agencies, and skilled nursing facilities gives her great insight into the needs of clients and their families across the continuum. Maria also diversifies her time by doing geriatric psychotherapy and counseling.

Maria received her Master degree in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. She additionally specialized in Gerontology and Management, earning graduate certificates from University of Missouri St. Louis and Washington University. She serves as Board President of a small non-profit organization, Caring and Sharing, Inc., that provides medical care and support to poor and underserved individuals. She is a proud and active member of the National Association of Social Workers, Social Work Leaders in Healthcare, and the Missouri End of Life Coalition.

Maria is responsible for care coordination and advocacy of the firm’s clients. She conducts assessments to identify potential problems, roadblocks to quality care, and effectively assists in connecting families with solutions to navigate the variety of services available. Crisis management, education, and support are critical services that Maria provides to clients and their families as they access care services in the community. Maria has a passion for assisting elderly and disabled clients so that they maintain a high quality of life, while remaining as self-sufficient and independent as possible.

At home, Maria is a wife and mother of two children. She loves to cook, hike, and spend time with her family.
